This slider pin is on the rear caliper of my NSR250 but it’s on the front caliper for other Nissin calipers and widely used on the Honda range of bikes. Although the standard part seen here hasn’t got any corrosion, if the rubber sleeve was to get a split water can get it in and start corroding the pin, which is why the Titanium version is so good. It won’t corrode, and helps reduce unsprung weight.
